Complaint - Doubt regarding PM alerts over warnings !
I have a doubt cum complaint.
Whenever a user is admonished/ warned over an infraction, shouldn't a PM be sent to him alerting him of the offence ? This is particularly vital in cases where the user never expects such an admonition. As things stand, I had been warned over a minor issue, when an off the topic comment was made in a thread. The warning itself was dubious because one sees the phenonmenon of off the topic comments or idle banter in many other threads.
Be that as it may, I came to know of the warning only when I scrolled through those pages almost by accident. The thing is that, without the information regarding the warning, I could very well have repeated the same mistake again which could have led to a summary ban. So isn't it mandatory that a PM alert be sent to the user over every warning ?!!
