Doctors remove 38 objects from mans stomach
WARANGAL: Doctors at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) hospital here on Sunday were shocked to find about 38 different articles ranging from plastic wires to pencil pieces in the stomach of a man.
The 'foreign bodies' were removed from the stomach of S Ramesh Kumar,42, after a prolonged surgery. Kumar, who hails from Karimnagar district, has been swallowing small things over a period of time and therefore, suffered unbearable stomachache which forced him to approach the government hospital.
After a thorough scan, doctors found pieces of pencil, a pen, nails and wires. In all, they removed 38 items from his digestive tract.
According to surgeon P Srinivas, Kumar was admitted to the hospital two days ago. The patient came alone to the hospital, he added.
