Hi - Best place / resort in Kerala

hi friends, I am Nisha settled abroad . We (8 families) are planning for a get together in Kerala in the coming February / March.

Can anyone suggest some good hotels / resorts? As I was not in Kerala for many years, don't know that much details. Also some has suggested houseboat. So would like to know about different packages..
