HDMI to DVI PORT

I have a ATI radeon HD5450 graphic card and a 21.5" SAMUSNG LED with dvi port can i connect HDMI port of graphic card to led dvi port and
it shows the display better than vga port. now i using vga led to vga graphic card port.
