Passengers waiting at the KSRTC bus stand in Kalpetta, Wayanad, were in for embarrassment and shock after the public TV screens started showing porn.
The gaffe occurred during the peak morning hours on Tuesday and the hardcore broadcast went on for up to 30 minutes.
According to reports, several women and students who were at the bus stand quickly left the depot.
The police have booked the 38-year-old- cable operator Manzoor under section 292 of the Indian Penal Code (obscene and indecent advertisement and display), the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, and various sections of the Information Technology Act.
According to police, the incident occurred due to a mix up by the cable operator, who confused between his personal USB containing the porn video and another drive.
