New Delhi: A white tiger at the Delhi zoo killed a young man who apparently slipped and fell into its enclosure.
The tragic incident took place at around 1.30 pm on Tuesday.
Witnesses claim the barricade of the tiger enclosure was low and the boy slipped and fell into a dry moat inside.
The fully-grown tiger then mauled the boy and killed him within minutes.
"The tiger didn't attack him at first. He attacked when the man threw stones at him. The tiger then attacked him. The man tried to run away," said Bittu, a witness who filmed the horrific incident on his mobile phone.
Others said the zoo's security guards arrived only about 20 minutes after the boy fell.
